A funny story about Denise Matthews
I have corresponded with her via e-mail and also talked on the phone to her one time and she seems like a very beautiful person, not just on the outside but has a beautiful heart, seems so caring about others.
I am happy she has found Jesus who has turned her life around and I pray for her that she will be healed and continue for Jesus as I believe she has a wonderful testimony.
In Summer 2005, my father's Army Reserve unit was put on alert for mobilization for Iraq. Needless to say, I was worried. The farewell ceremony left us all emotional. I remember the pain I felt as we waved them goodbye as their buses took off for their Wisconsin training ground. I prayed hard for the safety of our soldiers.
I e-mailed Denise a prayer request for my father and she e-mailed back a fervent, heartfelt prayer. I will always remember her for that.
As it turned out, my father was called back home pending a health evaluation but even after the doctor gave the OK, he was never called back to Wisconsin. Sometime later several of his fellow unit members also returned home. I don't believe any of them went overseas.
May God continue to bless our Denise, and may he bless you, her family, as well.
